What To Do Before You Reach Our Office
Toothache: Rinse with warm salt water and gently floss to remove any trapped food. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum.
Knocked-out tooth: Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root. If possible, gently rinse it and place it back in the socket, or keep it in a container of milk, and get to us right away. Time is critical.
Broken or chipped tooth: Save any pieces, rinse your mouth with warm water, and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
Lost filling or crown: Keep the restoration if you have it and avoid chewing on that side until we can see you.
Swelling or abscess: A dental infection can become serious. Call us promptly so we can evaluate and treat it.
